IA here

well........we got 2 silkies, and some other banty. Do only silkies have a vaulted skull? Not sure if the other is one or not because the coloring looks like what golden laced birds have.....maybe partridge is what it is, didn't even think of that before. LOL, took me that long to think of that. And Jerrit got 4 EE's.

Guess jerrit got a job now through the temp agency..kind of funny, we walk into today and the lady is just like "Its the chicken people!!" there was another guy working there and also an older guy at the table, not sure if he was the owner of someoen looking for jobs, but he did say something that he worked with the Wolfe farm for getting people jobs. Anyway, they got a call for a manufacturing job, for countertops and sinks, its not what he really wants to do and he will have to get up at 6am......but we just have to do whatever we can get now.

I have Blue reds so I don't really want the bbreds. Not sure on the red Pyles. I really like the blues and the different colors. I like the blue laced red color on the wyondottes and would like to see if I could get that color in OEG. It was suggested by someone on this site to try crossing a blue red with a gold laced. That is why I am looking for gold laced in particular.

Are you sure you don't have a lonely turkey hen to sell? I could even pick her up Saturday when I come for my eggs

I have Iowa Blues, I also probably have a trio/quad to sell, though the hens will be culls from my flock - not much silver on them.

I doubt I'll bring them to Waverly though. I have someone local willing to take just the hens.

Also see the little guy on the far left? That's that same little roo that won't grow up

He looks more roo than pullet anyway, but he doesn't crow or anything. He SHOULD look like the roo on the right. Ah well, I bet they taste the same.

I was just going to ask if that was a well silvered hen or a poorly developed roo

Are the rest all Ia. Blues? Your hens look more filled out than mine. Mine are about the right height but still pretty skinny. They aren't laying yet either so I assume they will grow some more. Combs are just starting to color up.
