IA here

I jokingly showed DH pictures of some DIY incubators and asked if he could build me one? He looked incredulously at me and pointed to the 100+ eggs in the 2 Genisis 1588s and said "don't you think thats enough I mean how many do you have in there what kind of damage would you do if you had another one???!!! well yes i probably could..."

I love NE Iowa. My daughter and I visit Decorah yearly. Our family history is all over the state, however, the majority of my grandmothers 11 siblings were from Lawler. I am new to the chicken scene with 2 lovely Black Australorps. We are very happy so far.

Glad you mentioned this Kari... had some eggs that should have gone in the hatcher yesterday but I forgot til now! Could not see anything in the air cell so its all good so far. Just 4 eggs, have 4 more under a broody that should be due the same time. The broody does not look very well, she looks tired. I think she may hear one peeping and is really intent on doing her job.

Greetings! My hubby and I used to go to Chicago annually, but not so much anymore. He was born a Cradle Cubs Fan, but I think has since been discouraged to the point of indifference. I think the last time we went to a game was a playoff for the World Series about 10 years ago. They lost

The bad thing about that hobby anyway is baseball season and horse show season coincide. I could rarely get away to go with him. Now I have too many chickens to leave home for long!
