IA here

We are having a garage sale that weekend I think Eric. I just hatched some more Chubby Bubby babies, one is about the cutest chubbiest chick I have had since Chubby herself hatched!

Still trying to get the hubby to go fishing up there some weekend - or I might just head up one of his drill weekends.

Keep me informed Stephanie. And lets see some pic please!

In the mean time... is anyone going to or know the dates for the Waverly swap? I was told today, by someone who drives six hours to attend, that it's huge. I've never been there and also found out it is not that long of a drive for me. Not as long as I had for some reason thought anyway. Or who do I contact to set aside an area? How much? etc.
Thanks!

Waverly swap it 4/11. To get a spot, it's first come, first serve. You just pay to get in, then you can set up right out of your truck or trailer. I used to get there by 5, but this year I'm going with my neighbors, they leave at around 2am. It's about an hour drive from here.

You can check out more swaps at Laurie's website... easterniowabirdswap.webs.com

Hope to see you there! You would recognize me by my avatar, which is my farm insignia. I have it posted at my table at swaps.

Eric - If you go to the waverly swap - maybe Chubby Bubby and I can make that trip also. It is about 2 1/2 hour drive for us, but then maybe I can sell off all these older "chicks" I have that are mostly roos

Granted I am sure I won't even make back gas money , but they would be gone!

That would be great Stephanie! It's a 2 1/2 hour drive, at least, for us too. I still need more info like is it inside / outside, outside only? So will do some further checking. It's hard to sell chicks outside when it's still cold. The Saturday show at Hutchinson, was a bust for me. Didn't make enough to cover expenses but, it's like gambling. You never go with the intention of winning, just to have a good time. I did however meet someone by accident, from the chat room here on BYC that was kind of a funny story for another time. The 21st was a great show, the week before. I sold out early! We will most likely stay overnight, we usually do.

I am also planning on attending the Avoca, IA Poultry Show on May 8th and 9th. First time I heard about that show was yesterday. Am searching for more info now.

I may bring a few chickens for the waverly swap and then I am looking for a couple pigeons to go with my loner that I have. Hope the weather is nice for it.
