I've been looking into Serama's lately. They are very interesting to me. What colors do you have to offer?

There's a poopie head in every bunch of monkeys! Let me know how your candling works out.
I may be cutting back on my Seramas again.... any interest? Anyone

I have a buff colored hen, a black with gold hackled and tailed hen, a spotted girl, a pretty crele cockerel with a lopsided tail, (he needs to get his "groove" on then it should stand up straight)

still have Whitey, he is the show bird.. and knows it... and I am sure something else too Trish. I have enjoyed them but have not had the opportunity to work with them like I want. Whitey has been over breeding the girls and they need a break to get their feathers un ruffled. In short, I think they all need a new set up, new scenery. I will keep Naughty Snow White. her eggs aren't fertile anymore but I'd be lost w/o her.

She's kinda "da boss!" Will also be most likely selling the Wheaten Ameracauna we bought at the State Fair, Steph might recall her, she looks just like a salmon Fav, w/o feathered legs and, little foghorn, the Leghorn cockerel all bantams of course. And still have some Buttercup chicks too. If someone wants some bantam yard monkeys... I may be, not sure yet, be selling some white Russian Orloff starts. They came out an odd color, I think I know why too. The are almost albino.

I found some oddities in the Blues I picked out... anyone notice anything odd?

Also, check out this amazing rare species on exhibit at the show over the weekend... super rare!

Isn't that a picture of your modern games you bought?

For now on the seramas I'm just going to go with whatever hatches from these eggs I have.

One of the little mutt chickens is out. He is gold. I haven't had a gold colored chick in a while. All of mine are black/blue. Two more pipped and then there is always that last one that makes you wait.

I have two olive eggs in there also due but not counting on anything from them seeing as none of them have developed since spring.

Tank my big roo was sick for several days. Thought we were going to have to put him down. He would lay in front of the water just sleeping and drinking. I could walk up and pick him up - VERY bad sign. He hates me and usually chases me.

Seems to be doing better after I wormed everyone. Is eating again and started skipping through the yard again yesterday.

His attitude toward me has changed for the better.

My friend that we keep our chickens at might be interested in some of the serarmas. We are looking for some silkies (splash or blue) for my son to take to 4h anybody ? This wind is just bad .I am never even close to being ready for cold.

Hi Jake,

We will have some nice Silky chicks in blue and splash early next year.

That would be great . He just had his call ducks to show last year.

Jake you and your friend are not that far from me, you should take a ride over here, (Okoboji) and see what I've got. Have some odds and ends that might interest you. And oh... bring your wallet! LOL

Yes Steph, those are my modern girls just checking to see if you were paying attention. and the little Lav Ameracauna. who by the way can be kinda naughty! I was so suprised when one of the Moderns got RV at the show. I just entered her on a lark. They had 2600 entries at the show! Of course there are always a few that do not show up for one reason or another.

Lisa, did you see that I hatched a Poofy chick? It's really a cutie. I'll get pics sometime.

Oh and I had to buy feed AGAIN! Those crows are eating me out of house and home! Are they too little for scraps? And- the water bill went up!!!
Just kidding. They're kinda fun but messy.. oh my! I bought some oats for the big birds and they seem to like them.

Eric- maybe you need a farm also?

Don't tell my hubby but the Iowans are running around our basement right now. It is so windy out and I need to make them a bigger brooder still. Our basement is unfinished so it isn't too hard to clean up...

They just are getting cramped in their cage already. Especially Ozy Svenska Kyckling, the head rooster/emu.

Now I have a serama X [ showgirl X frizzle cochin] Very nekid and yellow.

All 4 hatched just fine. There are three yellow chicks and a blue one with gold undertones. Only the one is a NN. Now to see if any of them actually frizzle!
