IA here

Hi, birds made it home ok. all are still alive and kicking. We did pick up a pair of berchin moderns, and he gave my son 2 pair for the price of one. It was nice to meet some of you but I am not very good with names. We did have lots of fun. We do have the 2 moderns we got from you Eric in our bird cage by the computer table they talk all the time. We tryed another rooster and hen but that lasted untill 7a.m. when he started crowing . So they went to the farm. The americana roo is very tame he jumped on my lap when we went out and sat with flock.

Free chickens!!!

I had a previous customer of mine call to see if I wanted some chickens from him. They are half EE and half Cochin. 1 rooster and 4 hens. They are located in Central City. If you are interested, PM me. You HAVE to take the rooster, they are all free though, so they are the right price!

Hey Mike!

Been wondering how you were. Figured you.d been busy with hunting season.
All the Blues are gone. My garage smells alot better now! In fact, I am down to a few birds now waiting for some new stuff this Spring.
Anything new with you?

Been busy with the taxidermy and bow hunting,i have been out all most every day bow hunting since October 1st and i'll be out till the middle of January with the muzzeloader.can't wait for it to be over.we are going to start getting new birds in Febuary and start pening the birds up by breed for breeding around March or April,we are also thinking about doing one batch of 500 CX broilers this spring instead of 4 batches like we did this year.also get some new things going for the fair this year since i will be the new poultry superviser. That all sounds fun. I have heard that Hoovers Hatchery, right here in Ia., has some of the finest broilers you can buy and cheap, Don't know what kinds however. I have still not been called in for a meeting with the 4- h folks up here yet. I think there is some political manuvering going on so I'll hang back and wait.........
how did your gun class go?

seems odd to think that folks are planning for new birds but it is december already.

Tira;

Just wondering how my girls were doing? And is Brooster being a good boy? The girls will fly (not far but you will have to corral them), if given the opportunity so make sure they are in a confined area. they were also the last ones to come in from outside as well, they like to be outside.
It seems empty in the garage without the sisies telling me what to do and what they think I should do...

Steph; You been busy? Haven't heard a peep outta ya. How are the Blues singin' with the giant one? Do they have a boss yet?

I've been sufferin from the misery... my back went out they day after we got back (all I did was reach down for a scoop of feed and then horrible sound) so I am going to a new back-quack since my usual was in a really bad car accident, a lady was killed. I feel so sorry for the guy. lady crossed the centerline right in front of his dually p/u after he'd been out checking his horses. They think she was on her cell phone. Doc knew the lady too, we all did. He is in the hospital with one leg broken in at least 3 places.
This new quack is like Dr. Mengela! OMG! He is telling me I have torn, not pulled, torn some ligaments in my back. This guy is built like an NFL linebacker and when he jumps on ya, ya know it! But he and the reg. quack work on each other. I'd like to help them out sometime with a sledge hammer and a ball peen hammer!

Trish, how can I find the name of the guy that had the New Hampshire bantams? I could email Brett Kreifels, they know each other?

Was it David Smith? He had red hair and glasses. If you get a hold of Sharon, I'm sure she could put you in touch with him. She is Ryu here on BYC.
