Not bringing any pink flamingos back. I am growing quite fond of Louise, the pelican and Harvey the egret however.

80's again today am sweating already! Beautiful sunny with a light breeze. Went to the Worldwide yesterday, (big cabelas store), just a couple minutes walk from resort. Bought a belt. It shrank on the way home so have to exchange it! Hmmm? Bil taking the boys fishing today, if he gets off the phone. My voice came back after a couple of Bloody Mary's yesterday. But far too much party last night! Oh my goodness!

Lora, sil and niece all having their nails shellaced. Boys going kayaking with BIL now, chnge of plans, and me... trying to get the water out of my ears.

Tira; how did brooster loose his feathers? I must have missed something?

An update.... Keys chicken lady is stopping by on Monday with 2 dozen eggs for me to mail home! These will be smaller sized or bantam eggs. I was unaware but they come in two sizes! Anyone interested in some chicks? They will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity I beieve signed by the Mayor of Key West, or of the Conch Republic as they call it down here. Sounds like the weather is gonna get icky in our area this weekend.

I have noticed a lot of feathers in the pen recently - from the iowa blues. Also, Mr. Iowa blue lost some of his longer tail feathers, actually makes his tail look better now. He either just lost them or the pullets pulled them out. He is a pretty meaty looking boy now too lol

I don't think they are true bantams, but rather smaller chickens. Jerrit is just a chicken snob! As in the sense that my sil is a coffee snob! LOL
Brooster must have gotten in a fight with one of the girls or another bird. maybe he was sitting in the nest box when it was time to lay an egg! You know how he is about showing the girls where the nest boxes are.
Lora suggested Brooster needs a shawl, I felt perhaps a toupee. Could he be moulting?

I think he spends more time in that box then they do. I guess its possible that he was standing just outside it and a hen pushed him in and made him lose the feathers? Im thinking it was on something because at the top is like a perfect line. Idk about jerrit lol..I won an auction for some bantam cochins, its was 12 eggs, I got 6 extra. It was for mille fluer cochins and silver laced cochins, and all the extras were of the SL..I mostly wanted the MF's though. + 6 Buttercup eggs are in the bator with them.

I'mnot a chicken snob i'm just not a bantam person! lol My main reason is only that bantams don't lay large enough eggs and the customers around here don't want small eggs. If we put a small egg in a carton i must

from the customer lol. I do like some bantoms but i just can't get overloaded with them because they don't make any money (unless arielle decides to breed them and sell the eggs as hatching eggs). so thers my excuse for not haveing bantoms.... except for the buttercups the stole my heart...... sorry evil silkies i'm taken! I'm am excited to see what comes out of these eggs though I might let arielle have access to my paypal account and the byc auction
