Have you ever, by accident, found an old nest? My strange question is: How old does a rotten egg have to be before it loses its stink?

If there should happen to be a rotten egg in the chickens play area this spring, and they peck it open, do they ever dry up and become odorless?

My hatch is going well so far. I candled at 8 days and only removed 3 clears. I also dropped one and cracked it so I opened it to see and it was so sad with it's little heart beating

But anyway, I'm still hand turning 54

There are so many I can't see into so I'm afraid to cull. I need a better flash light.

Liz found an old turkey egg the other day. If you throw them, they make a loud "pop" sound. Not as loud as a firecracker, but you get the idea.

Liz has some bantam EE's and Mille Fluer Cochins if you are interested Eric and Steph.
