IA here

1 summer we shot 2 coons and a opossum (I got the pleasure of that 1) we didn't even have chickens yet just cat food in the garage.
My neighbor relocates rabbits I'm about ready to try that for squirrels they keep chewing holes in my roof.

well my hatch didn't turn out as bad as I thought have 3 out and 3 cracked open. None are EEs though not a single green egg has popped chipped or cheaped. My MIL is disappointed.

Steph I'm not thinking we are headingyour way tomorrow ppl never got back to me. Tj is annoyed. Oh colfax sale barn Saturday's does lambs and goats.

We noticed Elvis licking himself a lot last night. I went to a swap this morning. My husband called saying he took Elvis to the vet. Kyle rolled him over and found a huge 2" x 4" gash in the inside of his hind leg! When Kyle called the vet, they said to bring him in but they may not have time to get to him today and may have to stay the weekend. When they got to the vet, the tech looked at him and said "oh my" and took him back right away. They had to cut away some infected flesh and stitch him up. He's on antibiotics, pain meds and is wearing a cone for 2 weeks. He is pretty dopey this evening and still getting used to his cone. We let him drink out of a cup, he can't get into his bowl. Poor boy. I guess he's not out of the woods yet. Not sure how he did this to himself.

We had a 3 legged chick hatch out yesterday. We gave it to a friend's daughter for Easter. My hubby got mad at me, he wanted me to raise it so he could take pictures and send them to Coast to Coast.

Sounds like you're just having a wee of a time for your Easter weekend. You know what they say about those 3 legged chicks... they are the first ones to eat and the ones you want in your potato sack for the race! They always have two feet firmly on the ground! Did you take pics?

No pix. I was unloading chicks from the swap and taking chicks out of the hatcher to brood. We found this one when we were unloading the hatcher. It was kind of hectic, which is kind of the norm around here!

Well my broody has three chicks under her. One looks pure silkie but only has 4 toes. Does have the black skin, domed head, classic silkie look though. Will have to wait and see when it feathers out if it is pure and just didn't get 5 toes. The other two look to maybe be mixed - although one has the 5 toes...

Yesterday we went to a regular auction and Mike bought himself an anvil - he is totally thrilled with it. My big purchase was a new electric blanket for $5 with an afghan thrown in. Woo Hoo.

I am! none of mine want to hatch they start developing but don't hatch. MILs either didn't check fertility on hers though.
Well out of 24 eggs 7 hatched better than I thought. 2 are my MILs and they are yellow fluff balls with 3 stripe on but and 1 black stripe on head. Nc what mutt cross they are but very cute.
