IA here

I had the same problem but they managed to get out. I have to cull 1 maybe 2. 1 poor thing has a problem with it's spine the other a foot that doesn't work that 1 might stay. Have to see how it does.

Have to remind myself have 25 chicks coming in may. But I learned that TJ doesn't freak out when I buy 3 here 6 there as he does when I order 25.

Tonight when I did chores decided it was time to put the 1st set of chicks out with the rest. Fully feathered out they went

Thanks Black Cochin for the date correction. Yes, May 7 and 8th for Avoca. June 4th for Badger Club. Too much stuff in my head I guess, can't get anything right lately. Can barely find my way to the bathroom!

Yes, Trish, it is their final show. After 47 years, they have run out of enough new blood to help set up for the shows. dave Lefeber can't do it anymore. The show is dedicated to John and Lois Bashaw for their years of devotion to the club. I spoke with John briefly in Waverly. I really wanted to go to that show in Richland Center. Will have to wait for Portage now. I am sure most of them will join the WI International Club.

Of brighter news, a package arrived this morning from The Netherlands! Two ten packs of eggs arrived without a single crack in the shells! They do however look pretty shaken up. Still have to try incubating after letting them rest well. they were very well packed and all with the big end up too!

I told Michael, (the egg sender), if nothing else at least we got 2 cool egg cartons from The Netherlands.

They were a gift so I cannot complain but I'd really like to hatch some. He has now found bantam Brabanters which is a breed I have always wanted. He is innocent of any wrong doing. He was told that it would take 3-4 days to arrive here plus a weekend.

Just over a week and a half. They were nice and cool in the box. Maybe that will help in some capacity. All I can do is try now.

Oh good luck! I'm excited to see how that works out! Mmmmm Cherry pie......

Alas, I had to cull one of the lavs and another isn't looking too good.

I had the same problem with the lav ameraucanas. I am down to two lavs and two black splits of that group.

Say Trish, do all your BCMs have french legs or will there be some smooth? If there are some smooth legs in there, I can't tell them apart from the my black EEs

I expect they will look different pretty soon though.

Sorry to hear about the Lavender Orps.

Yes, some will be clean legged.
