Thanks everyone... that will make my life easier. I read several different places about keeping the pointy end down, so that is why I was so concerned. Yes, these are just cheap mutt eggs. Most of them will be black sex link hens crossed with whatever my rooster is that I showed a few days ago. I am just going to grow these up enough to butcher them in 4 or 5 months. I will see how it goes. I want to have fun with this. I love everything about these chickens!

I will get a picture for you if my computer stops acting up. It is running incredibly sloow and freezing up or internet explorer won't work. It's been doing this for 2 days now

I went to do a system restore and we have no backup points. I'm rather disappointed. May have to restore back to the original and loose everything.

Computer problems are the pits. I had to restore my desktop last year and even though I got it back, it just isn't the same computer.

Does anyone know of anyone with Birmingham rollers? I have 3 girls without mates, one just lost hers last week and she is still lookin for him:(Thanks

Well the computer has officially quit working internet wise. I am at my MIL's house right now trading slave labor for internet use

I work ALL week so don't know when I will get it fixed

BUT it is the last week for sub jobs most likely so I couldn't pass up a full week in the same school.

I picked up an application for Menards today - I figure we spend enough there I might as well try to earn some of it back!

OK do any of you use lime in your coop area? We need to get the smell down from the "mud pit". I picked up some garden lime today.

apbgv - There is one guy near me that has pigions of some kind - I think rollers. If I can get a hold of him I will ask.

I'm locking down 6 turkeys! Actually my hubby was just walking by the hatcher and heard peeping so I quickly added water and shouted "LOCKDOWN! Better late than never right? It has been over 40% in there with all the rain we've had so I think they'll be OK. I need to check out the dry hatch links. Thanks for sharing!

Well I thought I was going to try to candle these eggs tonight but after trying a few of them and reading some more, I think I better wait a few more days. I set these on last Friday morning. I may even wait until Friday or Sat. to do it. I just don't want there to be bad eggs in there and have them explode. That would NOT be a good incubating first experience!
