IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Pics
This is my first hatch in years. We set 12 shipped eggs on 8/15 after candling and seeing that they were shook up bad in transit. So I opted to just put them in and see what happens. I've tried to leave them alone as much as possible. I candled them on day 9 to see what was what. We tossed 4 that day which were obviously bad. 2 were oozing a little. I candled again on day 15 and tossed 2 more which were obviously quitters and the remaining 6 (#s 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 & 12) went into lock down yesterday. I 'thought' I heard a peep after locking them down but convinced myself it was all in my head because we do have a brooder with chicks in it. Well last night we got our first pip. I was shocked since I didn't expect anything till Tuesday. Just an hour or so ago I noticed the pip hole is bigger and I can see a beak moving inside the hole. So I sure hope these babies make it and we get a couple healthy chicks. Waiting is torture but the experience is wonderful.

Here's hoping you get six!

It had been at least 5 years since I last incubated. This is my second batch.
Good luck with your 6! The eggs may have started developing during shipping, since it is hot. They may hatch earlier than your 21 days, if they did start before you set them. Mine look to be about a day ahead of schedule.
