IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Pics
I am using an incubator to hatch marans eggs and leghorn eggs, both shipped from two different breeders. They should hatch on September 12, if they are completely average. My previous incubator babies came a day early, so I'm not sure when these babies will come.

They arrived at my home on August 22. It was hot outside when I got them and I had checked the weather from the two places they came from: it was about the same. I candled them and none of them appeared to have any development whatsoever, which, even if they had started to, it would've been hard to see that early. But I did. They also did not feel particularly warm, despite having been shipped and been outside. I suspect it is because they were insulated so well in the packaging. I let them sit for the few hours after unboxing them until I had to leave for work, while I was at work, and then put them in the incubator when I got home. There were 26 of them--- 24 could fit in my incubator. I gave two to a friend the next day, letting them sit out overnight.

Eleven of mine have definite moving and, as far as I can tell, healthily developing embryos at this point. There is one that never developed whatsoever. There are three that started and then quit and two that began oozing very early on and were removed. The rest I can not really see inside (Marans eggs.) The two I gave my friend are developing as well. So from what I can tell, from this one experience, letting them sit for a few hours after they arrive won't kill an embryo, even if they were shipped in hot weather. Of course, they have not hatched, so we'll have to wait a bit longer to see the true success, but I can at least verify that letting mine sit out for around eight hours after being shipped in the hot weather still allowed most of them to start developing, and most of them to continue developing, at least to the point I am at now. But I can't speak for everyone, and maybe someone else has had different experiences. This is the first and only time I've worked with shipped eggs, so I can only give this one experience to you guys, unfortunately.

Side note: One of my hens also went broody (for the second time this summer) and I'm letting her sit on eight eggs. So I will be having a second set of very, very late September babies as well. :)

We have 2 hatched and 3 more pipped. :D
This was last night right before the first hatched.

Crappy. Literally overnight I lost all 4 of my bantam roo/ med hen cross eggs. Each one was malpositioned except one who when candled I saw the classic bruised membrane. I opened it up and sure enough he tried to pip into a vein. I have a ton of eggtopsy pips. I have 2 left. I moved them to a small Hatcher and both are wiggling. I can’t toss anything alive. Also realized that ALL of my thermometers were off by a degree (low). So, I went and got new batteries for all. Recalibrated and they’re back to perfect. I’ve hatched in this bater so many times... anyway, I moved the two because I have 20+ eggs to go in this one. So been getting it ready all morning... All eggs are Dans from OTHER hens. Curious to see if it’s my hen... because everything was good. Hmph still holding hope for these two

I'm so sorry! :hugs Are you still thinking the chicks were just too small for the egg? It will be interesting to see, the other hens are all bantams right?
I checked on my barnyard mix eggs from a bantam x full size hen, only about 50% are developing but the veining looks to be normal in those. When I crack them to eat they're all fertile, but I know he has too many girls. We're at a 20-1 ratio so that's an issue, but until one of them goes broody I can't add a cockerel/rooster. He does not play well with other males.
