IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Congrats on all the hatches! All of mine quit. I incubated in same bater, same way, and lost all 9. I am taking better steps with bacteria this go round (even though this was my first hatch with this issue) and already said I changed batteries and recalibrated my thermometers. Have a set for the 24th and then a week later. Hoping it was just bad luck or the temps from my dying thermometer issue. ❤️

What incubator did you use? Usually temperature drops will be fine, it's when the temperature spikes that kills the embryo.

The first two ducklings to hatch from my incubator this time:

Ebony and Ivory, Im sure you can guess who is who.

I have a home made plastic cooler incubator that I have hatched dozens of times with successfully. I have no idea why all my eggs suddenly quit at hatch plus some me with green yolks like there was a bacterial issue? I did find my thermometers all needed new batteries so I assumed some of the overdue eggs who quit just were way too behind due to lower temps. I could be wrong though. I also upped my sanitizing for these next hatches and literally posted stickies the remind me to wash my hands in case I somehow forgot and don’t remember. And alcohol swabbed my candler and let air dry and put it in a ziplock just to be safe. Hoping I don’t have a horrific repeat.
