Ibuprofen for Controlling Pain in Poultry ?

Hi, can you tell me how you calculated the dose of the 200 mg tablet for your chicken? Sounds like it worked for yours and like to give it to my hen. She’s off her feet from Bumblefoot and I want her more comfortable as it heals. Thanks
Can you get some liquid ibuprofen?

ibuprofen can be dosed at 2.3 - 4.6 mg per pound of body weight every 8-12 hours. An adult tab of Advil has 200mg. If you figure out approximately how much she weighs and what your dosage should be you can figure out how many milliliters (cc's) would be easiest for you to dilute with. If you dilute with 10cc's, it's 20mg a cc. Just be very careful, if you accidentally overdose her, it could lead to kidney failure. But it's pretty simple if you go slow and double check your calculations. I hope this helps and she gets better. You have to get to core of the infection out of her foot. Look up moonlight mile, Susan Burack (spelling?) has a bumble foot med, that others swear by. I have been fortunate not to need it, but would if I do need it.
