One of my Blue Ice Cream Bars :)
It's a Greenfire Isbar rooster (blue) x Reese CL hen. The pic doesn't do her leg color justice- it's really exotic.
Oddly, I got one SPLASH ICB! The only white chicken in my whole 50+ (I'm scratching my head on that one..!)

She's beautiful & presents as a Blue Isbar.

here are my ICBs

Turkey Taser 3 months old. I love his coloring! Beautiful translucent green feathering. Hopefully his saddle feathers and hackle feathers don't cover everything up as he gets older.

My eight-week olds:

I know the mottled one is a roo but the two barred ones I keep going back and fourth on.

Our 1st Ice Cream Bar eggs! Two pretty green eggs in 3 days, laid by our ICB. She lives on the porch due to a hatching disability and cant walk right. So I wasnt sure she'd ever lay but she beat the ones in the coop, must be all the extra treats from when ppl walk by her. Eggs are a pretty green w/ blue tint and small white flecks.

Another Ice Cream Bar is laying! This pullet is in the Legbar pen and its the bright blue/green one in center. So if I hatch her eggs down the road chicks will be 3/4 Legbar 1/4 Isbar

One of my Ice Cream Bars has finally started laying. Not green, not blue, not brown, but, SILLY PUDDY colored eggs :/ So disappointed. She is 2nd or 3rd gen.

The biggest problem with these ICB are bloodlines relating to GFF second import Isbars. They carry a mottling gene and some lay brown eggs. They do not have black eyeballs. We culled all of our 2nd imports.
On another note: the birds GFF imported as Isbars are really not Isbars at all. They are now known as Silverrudd's blues. I guess we will need to rename this hybrid Silverudd's blue cream legbars or something.
There are people working to get true Isbars in the US. They are a totally different breed

Very true. I have 1st import and 2nd import and I love the 1st import so much more. The 2nd import from GFF look like Birchin Marans and probably are since some have been known to lay brown eggs. The 1st import lay different shades of green but the GFF 2nd imports lay all the same color of green. I am keeping the 2 hens just for eggs but no breeding and selling the 3 roosters. I also have several blue 1st import cockerels if anyone is near NW GA.
