Icelandic Chickens

I still haven't finished reading all of this thread but I am totally intrigued with these chickens. I am hoping that after hubby finishes school and we get settled somewhere I am able to get some! I love love love the unique coloring of them all, gorgeous! Thanks or all the work everyone is doing to keep them as this unique breed!

She likes to play with them, and I am working on that. She is getting better everyday.

Here she is supervising us while we are working in the ravine on the fencing for the cattle.

I just don't get it.... a while back I promised some eggs to Farmerboy then the Icelandics quit laying. They start back up, and two days ago someone asked me to hatch some for them. Yay, I can try out my new incubator.... but the Icelandics haven't laid in two days

Yes, the weather is great for putting in T-posts.

I am NOT complaining! Do not have to break the ice for the chickens.

well, of my 27 living chicks from the NYD Hatch, at least 16 are Icelandics. WAHOO.
I may have two more hatch that are pipped but one is an EE from my coop and the other is an Ameraucana.
