Welcome back Michelle! So you are getting winter? I think it has been cancelled for California. I can live with that! Are you loving the new barn?

We do have winter, it was quite cold in December and January, but today is in the 30's and quite slippery with all the snow melting.

I LOVE the new barn! It has been wonderful not having to haul water and egg production has been nice and steady with the timed lights. Our LGD did learn to open the door though so now we have to lock the deadbolt so he doesn't let all the cold air in to mess with the incubator

We were predicted to get a bad winter this year. So far it has been one of the warmest on record. I think the news reports said since 1930 something. I am not complaining one bit.

Ours has been warm with a couple cold days.Then it is usually cool in the morning but 60 in the afternoon.

It's been a busy, but wonderful day. I got to spend an hour visiting with Joyous. She is going to be a great addition to this Icelandic preservationist group. She safely received Daron's eggs yesterday and took home 32 from my flock. She'll be keeping us updated on how they progress.

I've got to go close-up the coop but I'll be back..................
