Icelandic Chickens

Thanks a lot. I showed the cart to Michael and now he wants to take the seat off my Cricket and replace it with toilets! You are such a trouble maker!

Kathy, From the look of our weather radar, you got that sand just in time........did the emu team get it spread in the runs before the rain?

Congrats Other Mary!!! Best of luck with your hatch!

Adorable pictures Kathy. I think Wilma is telling the chickens that she's going to be bigger than them really soon.

My Icelandics are getting their first taste of integration. I let them out for a bit yesterday to see how my barnevelder rooster would behave. (he's a year old, so he hasn't had any chicks under his flock protection yet) He did beautifully, didn't even peck them. Most of the hens ignored them and went about their business. The only issues were my production red (not surprising) and my BR Dusty. Dusty is the lowest on the pecking order and she was really going for them. I'm going to let them out again this afternoon and keep an eye on how it goes.

I need to mow the grass but saw Jake's post so grabbed the camera......haven't taken or posted many pics lately.
Kella....poor girl's crest has suffered from Dreki's attentions...............

Bara, pullet I hatched from eggs I got from The Sheriff last May........

Trio of variety.....not happy because the wind is cool today....two on left two weeks older than one on right (this one is one of Dreki's)
