It was a total fluke that I got her. She was the sole survivor of some hatching eggs that a friend had shipped to her, and since I already had the boys, my friend gave her to me. She was all yellow as a baby.............man she's been a fun surprise! I'm not sure yet, but I think she may be indirectly from Sigrid's flock.

Hey, I've noticed that one of my cockerels keeps kind of shaking his head. It's like he has something irritating him in one ear. I've checked him and haven't found any bugs, so tomorrow I'm going to get a flashlight and check his ears closely. If it isn't an irritation, I'm worried that it may be some kind of genetic defect he has going on, which means I won't be able to use him for breeding, period

How can I tell for certain that Flekka is indeed an Icelandic, and not a SFH? I'm going to see if I can get more pictures of her today so that you can have a better look at her. Shawn...........where'd you go? Ya gotta help me here, buddy!

Was the breeding rooster and hen Icelandic? SFH are larger and lay a large brown egg.
