I dont know of anyone in Utah with Icelandics but there is a good flock in SE Idaho, he is on the list, go back through the threads from last spring and I think that you will find him.
Its good to see the flocks spreading in the Mountain States, to me they are a great breed for them, in free ranging the roosters do an excellent job warning against threats and again calling the flock together when food is found.
Its good to be back on the list, I am slowly settling in, building both chicken pens but also fish room racks in the basement.
Re dogs, I have five Malamute cross females, with 'Village Huskys', 8 mos old, average 70 lbs now, will mature around 90+ lbs, sweet, well grown, get along fine with cats, most have been in the house and behaved great. I am looking for homes for them. With a training leader they would be a strong team right now for weekend trips, and will make excellent home companion dogs , with exercise.
PM me if interested. Arthritis in a hand prevents me from sledding . I want them to have good homes. They are family.
Life is good. And better with Icelandic Chickens !![]()
That's too bad about your team, my aunt used to raise and race Siberian Huskys pretty heavily. She has been "retiring" from racing for the last 10 years, but then she'll break down and get a couple puppies to raise and rejuvenate her team. She just can't give them up!
