On a more fun note, we moved the nine Thanksgiving Icelandic babies to the barn coop and free range last night. I went down this morning to see how they survived their first night. I moved them after dark off their roosts. Other than scuffling with Lukka's big fat adult baby, they were fine. Three of them were even in line waiting for the pop door to open! They had no idea what the line was for but they were in it anyway.
They handled themselves really well today except for a couple of technical errors.
It started out well enough, everyone in their own space.
Then the babies decided to introduce themselves to our visitors from Canada.
Not a smart move.
That did not go well at all.
Still determined, they decided the two big dufuses looked friendly enough and made their way over to chat.
That did not end well either.
They eventually gave up.
They spent the rest of the day staying out of everyone's way, running, digging and playing, free-range style!
