Love them! They have some very sweet faces. I'm excited to see how that little porcelain-looking baby that Elska has turns out.

Myrth, sounds like you've been busy. The wiring in your barn kind of reminds me of how our house was when we moved in years and years ago.......it's a miracle nothing ever caught fire

Jake, I wish you lived closer. I could loan you one of my roos, lol. He's RC and comes from Shawn's flock. He even has a tiny crest under that huge comb.

Elves like livestock, the Vikings brought livestock, so the Elves favored those who brought the good life to them, it doesnt pay to offend those who can make life miserable for you.

Sweet faces is definitely what they have........and I have to say that Icelandics have great temperaments and personalities....angels might be a stretch but they are heavenly!

Me too. And yes, the elves are simple farming folk, so I am sure they were pleased with the Icelandic chickens.

Good Morning Mike! Ug! We had some snow here on October 22 but it melted when it hit the ground. Yesterday we had a heavy, made everything look white, frost. I'm less and less thrilled about winter each year.....must be getting old!

It doesn't seem to be bothering the flock though.

Good morning! No snow here yet unless a few tiny flakes mixed with rain count. I hope snow that sticks will hold off awhile, as I really don't feel ready for winter yet


That is a beautiful photo of a sunrise! With the time change I won't be up for the sunrise very often for awhile. I sort of wish we would just pick a time keeping system and stay with it. I find the twice annual changes really throw me off, and I hate when it is dark when I get off work.
