Icelandic Chickens

Thurston just did not learn his lesson, did he? Geshhhh. Stupid boy!

I did that .... took some new eggs away from a broody and she only had to sit for a week. It worked! Today (or yesterday) my 2 black silkie sisters (brooding together in the same nest for 3 weeks) hatched a few chicks. I was afraid they would fight over the babies, so I moved one to another brooder and gave her some chicks I hatched yesterday. They all seem to be happy now.

Tom just announced that he brought home graph paper today. He thought it might come in handy sketching out the new coop

Quick, what's your favorite design idea you just can't live without? I'm making my wish list and checking it twice

Bob's Henhouse :

Mary Your pictures and commentary are just too funny. I'm literally sitting here laughing out loud! That emu is awfully cute.

Thanks Bob! It is always something around here. Today was a freaky day. The emu whistled all day, the goats baaa'd all day, the donkeys hee-hawed all day, somebody sang the egg song all day, the geese honked all day, and a lone duck landed in the pond and quacked all afternoon. Go figure.

Oops, forgot to mention that my baby goat fainted.
