Well, I'm expecting 36 from Our Beloved Mary the Warden tomorrow..

I'm expecting 36 from Kathyinmo... still not certain how many will be Icelandics... I'm guessing at least 18.

and 6 from NotAFArm (The other Mary) all Icelandics....

So I could be setting over 60 Icelandics on Saturday!!!!

Bring on the Great Icelandic Hatch of 2011 for Easter!

Vindur is getting some AWESOME coloring.. I've got to get another pic of him.

and I must say, I do love that blue and silver roo. Stunning.

Thank you Mary, Kathy and Mary..., you are all WONDERFUL.

I can see I will need to reduce my number of Ameraucanas to about the 8 (put them in a small pen)and then put the Icelandics in the big coop with the AC and keep two of the best looking roos for the flock. I'm just loving Vindur.

I was telling a couple that I sold a roo to last night about the Icelandics and I think they might be interested in the future.
with Bob on the West, me in the middle and then if we can add a breeder in Mesa and one in Gilbert, we'll have the Valley of the Sun with a good group... and we'll see how the Icelandics tolerate 115 degrees this summer.

And someday I'd love to add a little of Lyle or Lisa's blood to my flock.

Trying to fit in. An emu in an Icelandic world.

Even Blind Lucy walked right by. In her defense, she probably didn't see it!

They like Fig Tree Hill. Everybody does.

I tried unsuccessfully to introduce two babies to broody Skye. One is her blue AM baby and the other is a Polish that grandson picked out at the feed store. She abandoned them for her wooden eggs. They are back in the brooder tonight.

You will be getting some, albeit somewhat removed, from the eggs from me! My two pullets are from eggs The Warden got from Marty Favre. Her flock came from Lyle. My roos are from The Warden's flock she got from Sigrid.

Okay, first it's not fair that you and Kathy have soooo many roos to choose from..................second, I think you are also a wee bit bias!!

Here is Ari strutting his stuff to show you that you may need to rethink your rankings!!!!!!!!!!

Cute pictures everyone! And good luck with your hatch Mahonri.

Sorry I haven't been on much, a fox climbed my 6 foot fence and took my favorite chicken during the day on Tuesday. (and my only broody girl)

I'm just devastated about it, but even more than that, I'm terrified about protecting the rest of my hens. So I'm not good company right now.

Mary, I'll take you up on your offer for the trap. I'll call you and see if we can meet or I can stop by and get it tomorrow.

My chickens aren't going to be happy about it, but they are locked in the coop today and tomorrow.
