Broody update: She is acting 'funny'...sort of like 'there is something funny going on under my butt' lol
Going to leave her be until I cant take it any more and am forced to peek. She didnt get up to have a treat this morning which is unusual so
Jokul and Buri are getting along very well free ranging with everyone else. They do sort of stick to themselves and interestingly dont even hang out much together until roost time.
I panic at least once a day when I cant find one or the other of them.
At 'scratch time' they come in with everyone else...all 50 some chickens and ducks and then at roost time, they hop up on the stall walls together.
Its funny when I throw down bread or fruit as they grab some and haul off by themselves to gulp it down and then come back for more. They are like little velociraptors.
They are both shy of human contact still and I am afraid that allowing them to free range has added to that. So, I have to keep remembering that this is how they are happiest
Even though I would be happier if they were 'lap chickens'.
Will update again as soon as I have news!
