The Icelandics took over the top roost tonight. Martha Stewart, far left was the only bird from the layer flock to maintain her position. Even Alpha hen, Judge Judy was relegated to the second roost. It is the end of an era here at the prison.

Over in Juvenile Hall they have divided into two gangs. One member from each gang will be relocating to Indiana on Tuesday.

Today, Bleethur and Blamann enjoyed another day out and about, terrorizing Chickentown. Bleethur, being the Suave roo that he is, attempted to show a grazing Delaware pullet what a hunk of burnin' love he is....... that is, until he fell off !

I couldn't get my camera on quick enough!

Next, they decided to run in the timber for awhile ... you can't see them, but they are there! (I hope they don't go down to the water!)

But, had to contend with being followed ....

Or, being stalked ....

So, the next adventure was to go intimidate the meaties for awhile .....went around and pecked each one on the head, then stole their food!

After all that, Bleethur just wanted a little nap, and tried to talk Blamann into settling down.

Before roost time, they did pray for forgiveness ....

Loved seeing the Icelandic show birds. Are the birds judged for particular traits? or is this just a "here is my best looking bird" type show to get everyone together and promote the breed?

My little Anna is limping. The boys have been trying to jump on the girls while free ranging and while I'm usually working right near them I don't see them every second. She doesn't have any sores so she didn't injure herself. She is favoring her right side. She will walk around for a bit and then sit. She is eating and drinking fine. I hope she's better quickly.

Last night Jokul found himself locked in the grow out pen with a bunch of rowdy BO's, SS' and EE's. Somehoe he managed to be in there when lockdown occured, leaved Buri on the outside of the wall. Thankfully, he bunked with the big 1yr old BO roo safe in the heights of the barn.

I bet Jokul keeps his nose out of the teenage wing tonight...lol.

Great pictures Kathy. All these boys have reached that age where, were they human, the parents would want them put into a medically induced coma for five years. Lucky for us, chicken years and human years do not equate!

I am going to have to re-home my extra roos this weekend due to noise concerns. I hate to lose them but we don't want to get a complaint with animal control either.

Hey Warden just wanted to make sure you saw that the boys and i have decided to go with the dark roo.. They both immediatly went straight for him , no hesitation... I am soo excited its killing me.. I cant wait to have them added to our family ....
