My two Icelandic eggs. The first one is the bigger one on the left and the second one is more like a wind [fart] egg on the right.

YAY! I think you have 2 Icelandics laying! I bet you do! How old are they?

Hillbilly.........Congrats on the eggs! I also think you have 2 girls laying - not only different size, but different shape. In my experience, size can change, but shape generally doesn't.

And for the person that asked about when they lay - Briet started a few days shy of 5 months and Luna started about a month later, so 6 months.

OK, I am shaking; trembling ......
Really, I should not be allowed to be home alone. I am such a chicken, errrrr scardey cat! Mike left for Iowa (work) today.

I was locking up the birds. Well, I had been out there for over an hour messing around ahead of time. What did I see? A freaking possum. I screamed my fool head off for Tyson (the dog). He is worthless. Just worthless! Dang possum running all over my junk pile. Not a huge one, but ugly as sin, for sure.

I have never ever shot a gun. What could I do? Welllllllllllll, I had the hose in my hand. So I shot it with the hose. Missed, of course, but I sure did water down the junk pile.

Soooooo, I am running around locking up as fast as I can. BUT, the processing pen of roosters were not gonna have it! OH NO! They wanted to find that possum and work him over, I guess.

Their pen is near a tree, and the junk pile is on the other side of the tree. I'm telling you, I was yelling at them to get inside! None of the boys in ANY pen wanted to go inside!

Next, I hear ALL the breeder barn screaming! Never ever ever have I heard so much noise and commotion out there! I run around to the back side, and there he was! That dang possum was at the corner INSIDE one of the pens! I am screaming for Tyson again, and he saunders on over from up near the house, and just looks at me from afar! STUPID DOG! Gezzzzz, even the neighbors (penned) dogs were barking by now. Of course they are coon hunting dogs. The possum starts to run up a tree and decided to jump the fence.

Man, I locked up all the pop doors as fast as I could....... trembling and shaking and talking LOUDLY to myself (since the stupid dog isn't listening to me). Leggs, the hall monitor, never would leave me. (Probably because he was too scared to go inside! LOL) Leggs sleeps in the hallway because he is such a wuss. He just followed me around like a puppy dog. When I got to the backside and saw the coon, I shut the gate and left Leggs in the pen 2 away from the possum. At least he was gonna protect me! Well, probably not..... as he is just a big baby. (Leggs is my Jersey Giant wussy giant rooster, by the way).

Both traps are set. I had already done that before I saw the ugly thing. So help me, tomorrow Cody is gonna show me how to shoot that dang gun!

Go ahead, you can laugh. We are all safe, and I am sure it was quite comical. Good grief! I'm too old for such excitement.
