Good Grief, now everyone is getting in on the protest for moving into the big barn NOW!
I went kayaking with a friend and came home a litte wet and chilly. It was a great time, the lake was beautiful, and we didn't even mind the little rain that fell on us. Once we got out of the boats, our wet clothes were less than comfy
Once I got out of the nice warm shower I spent some time with my 2 legged kids. Once they went to bed we decided it was time to put the birds to bed as well. We walked out the door and were greated with this bit of ridiculousness.
All 6 of the "baby" turkeys were roosting on the chicken coop
H2B had graciously offered to put birds to bed but I was able to click a few pictures before he had to knock them off of there and put them in their pen.
As he went out back to get the board we keep on hand for plucking the Icelandics out of the trees, he found that not
ALL of the chickens had gone to bed
Since he was already there, he decided to start with the chicken picking... the yellow arrow is pointing to the board that he was using, the shiney spot is the flash reflecting off an Icelandic eyeball.
In other news, I got to see our resident bat again. I hope he's a fell fed bat, we could do with a few less bugs. I plan to put a bat house on the back of the barn to make him feel more at home here.
