Mary, the rolls were delicious, but the process was a disaster! So here's how it went:
Cubed the squash and got it steaming. When it was finished I pureed it and added it with the other ingredients in the bread machine. Decided to steam remaining squash to freeze for use later. Got busy doing other stuff and forgot about squash til I smelled the burning smell. Took steamed burnt squash to the chickens. (they didn't seem to mind) An hour later the bread machine is done - Open it up and it still looks like I just put it in there, not mixed up at all. Apparently too much flour for it to mix it. Mixed it by hand and had to add extra flour to make it not so sticky - finally got that done and formed the rolls. Put them in the oven for the rise and then baked them. They didn't rise as much as they should have, but they were still delicious. (kids loved them too) Next time I'm doing it by hand.
