Beautiful !
I am selling more of mine in the upcoming week, Cuckoo Marans and all the Ameraucanas...that will lighten up the feed bill here considerably.

Then I bought a silkie pullet yesterday at the show (OMG)
And spent way too much time with the large assortment of Seremas at the show..so awesome!
Little crows like the chihuahuas of the chicken world.
Couldn't help but laugh at the little men.
So many beautiful Seremas...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder if having smaller birds would mean I could have 2 X as many...

Better not, we have a house to build.
I did just love this bird:

Isn't his coloration gorgeous?

Ah, he's pretty, and big! I am just so used to little Icelandic's that normal roos shock me.

By the way, just look at my Rusty. I told you she was pretty!

Kathy,

YOU LIVE IN CHICKEN HEAVEN! Wanna adopt me?

WOW.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the BLRW roo! even though he's molting, he's a KEEPER!

Holy cow Kathy! That BLRW sounds like he's screaming, not crowing.

Mary.......Love all the silver coming in on Bjorn. The girls are gorgeous as well. Good luck getting Stewy and Louie to accept the babies.

It is getting more difficult to make choices. I videoed some of them yesterday when I threw out some scratch. Most of the Barred Rocks, New Hampshires, Icelandics and others were on the other side of the property.

This is the Icelandics coming out of their pen this morning, high tailing it to the timber...

Kathy, when you said "trim down", I had no idea the scale of your flock! If only we are close and I had space to adopt a few from you!

Good grief Kathy, that is a LOT of omelettes !!!

Mary your Bjorn is going to be gorgeous ! Anymore pics of the Isbars? I also like the Lavender Orps.

In two weeks I start the winter shed for the goats and Icelandics, needs to be, they wont have as large a run as I'd like because of predators here but they will be out, when they want to be, plus heat lamps later.

Anyone here have any info as to how your Icelandics have done in northern winters? I am expecting that they will do it well but am still going to put a couple heat lamps over the roosts, and a heater under their waterer. It does get to -25 to -30 here.

Life is good and better with Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats !
