They are in a covered run, but I can't stand to see them pacing around in there .... so I just have to let them out, ya know. They really do love their freedom. Confinment just doesn't suit them. OK, OK, OK ..... I know I should do the tough love thing, but, but, but ............ I just can't do it.

I hear ya. Mine are in a 2,000 sq ft covered yard. They have lots of room to move around. I would love to free range them but I might as well just set up a buffet table outside with a sign FREE CHICKEN DINNERS.

I am ready to start THE GREAT ICELANDIC HATCHING EGG PROJECT! This is the largest number (by far) of eggs I have attempted to hatch. I have 28 Icelandic eggs in there! Wish me luck!

I found someone (crazy) who is taking all my spare boys. Some of them were so pretty that I was keeping way too many, and my whole farm is quieter without this dozen.

Can you imagine living with a dozen roosters?!

I have three little ones that hatched after I sent off a batch of day-old chicks to Oklahoma. I stuck them under a broody hen and she took them, yay.
