Icelandic Chickens

A friend of mine just obtained a small flock of Icelandics from the Behl line and I am getting some eggs to incubate. I am looking for some Sigrid line hatching eggs in order to add diversity to my stock.

Does it have to be Sigrid, or any not Behl line, I know someone that just hatched a bunch of Johanna's line and setting 3 dozen more.

She's in Michigan. Should be some blues. I'm in Ohio, depending on where you are at I have spare cockerels from Johanna's line, not sure if I have a spare pullet or not though.

My chicken helpers visited this past week....some of the Icelandics were willing to get close enough to get the goodies...others were leery of the "small, loud" replacement....



......oh, and at lock-up tonight, Elska had four chicks and a pip on the fifth egg (the one that she decided she needed after I gave her four). One is blonde!!
