Icelandic Chickens

Another light one hatched. Delaware on the left, Icelandic on the right (Mary's). See the pip on the egg next to the (Delaware) chick on the left ... that is one of Mary's eggs. The dark one coming is on the right side of the bator (you can't see it yet ... just pipped, but I see dark).

Mary........Maple trees grow really fast, maybe plant a few out there. It's going to be beautiful with your chickens roaming around. Your picture of your juvies, the center one looks like a Lukka look alike.

I have 4 Icelandics hatched. 3 from Mary's 4 eggs .... 1 blonde, 2 dark. 1 blonde from my egg.
The second dark one is just getting out of the shell. Here is the first dark one...

Here are 2 Blondes and 3 Delawares .... hahaha, they all look the same!

OOhhhhhhh, I can hardly wait for this second dark one to dry off and fluff up! It looks silvery blueish .... very dark and shimmery (is that a word?).

Both dark ones are from your eggs. I am still waiting on a couple of my eggs. I have one blondie so far, the first one to hatch.

Current count .... 2 blonde, 2 dark. Still a couple to go...

This is the most fun .... never know what is gonna pop outta the eggs! As soon as I see a pip, I start squinting and ogling to see if I can see if it will be dark or light colored.
