Icelandic Chickens

I almost forgot to mention... I was sitting at work yesteray battling through web page design and creation (not something I normally do but it needed to be done) at one point the head geek was on the phone with me and asked to take control of my computer. I asked if I needed to close everything (I had like 6 or 7 applications running) He said "Only if you don't want me to see it".
I said "I don't care if you see it, it's just maps, property information, flood studies and pictures of chickens." He got a little excited, "Your chickens?" So I explained they are parents of chickens that will be hatching next week. He asked how many I have, I told him I don't count as then I would have to admit I have too many. He said they have 17. I NEVER would have pegged this guy as a chicken guy.

So as we are working we're talking and I find out he like historical things, he's knows what "Heritage Breeds" means and is fascinated with preservation, he's a historical re-enacter. I ended up sending him the link to this thread so he could see what they look like. I might have hooked my first local

Are you going to be taking the zip-ties that the cops use?

(for the chicks or the boys?) I don't know about yours, but mine have managed to slip their zip ties more than once, the little stinkers! I'm still waiting to figure out which white one is the Icelandic in with the Leghorns.

Mary, I'll be taking pictures as soon as I can round up the juvies outside and get them to pose with the newest ones. Are you auctioning the eggs now, or do you have any available?

You guys sure have trouble controlling your Icelandics! My goodness Teach, you are barely out of the start gate and you can't control the little buggars.

I guess I should shut my mouth until I manage to keep Stella in the yard. Ok, 'nuff said. Carry on.
