I am an Epic Icelandic Failure.

My neighbor informed me that the LF BLRW that I thought was fox food is actually in her barn setting on a clutch and has been for about a week.

We only have one rooster with the Free Rangers....

**sigh**

If you need to banish me from the Icelandic Kingdom, I will understand. I have failed. I have allowed a *gulp* Icelandic Crossbreeding.

I will be culling the cockerels that result from the hatch and keeping the pullets here on Camelot as layers so as not to allow further crossbreeding.

**Hanging head in shame**

What's worse, that you have accidentally cross bred them or you have chickens jumping ship?

(sorry, not trying to be insensitive here)

I don't think you'll be kicked out for an accidental cross, as long as you don't use them for any breeding. Are you sure she's sitting on her own eggs. Maybe she stole them from someone else in the barn?

Nope. They are hers. My neighbor doesnt even HAVE chickens. Thank goodness she has a sense of humor.
I offered to go get them and move them to my barn and she told me that she would bring them home when the hatched and until then she seemed just fine where she was.
She said she tried to shoo her away the 1st few days that she caught her in there but then just gave up cause she was so persistent.
This is totally out of character for this neighbor so I dont want to do anything to peeve her so I'm just going to have to leave her there and then go clean up her nest mess when she is done. Egads!

I put the emus out to play in the enclosed chicken yard today. One fell in love with Blind Lucy. She wants to know if he is tall, dark, and handsome.
