I did not see anyone slander you or say that your Icelandics aren't pure.

Exciting year ahead

Happy new year dear settlement chicken owners and other people of the country.
The year 2011 will be an exciting year for fans on the settlement chicken. Beginning work on the biological sample collected on exhibits of the company and among the owners of the country. We expect news of the DNA study in February and even then will come a clearer picture of the chicken may be genetic science. After it begins work to identify and hopefully will result in you can get answers to haunting questions about the stock.
Results of the study will probably sharpen the company's position as a security company Icelandic settlement chicken acid and give rise to provide clearer lines of breeding in the future. This is much tilhlökkunarefni for all owners of Icelandic settlement chickens who are interested in keeping the population healthy, colorful, various, and above all kynhreinum.
This year will be held at least two problems performances and paper will be issued. Hopefully keeps us settler chicken owners continue to flourish as it has done in recent years, people will be hard to chat about hænsnamál, learn and help each other with breeding activities.

I am new to Icelandic i got mine from Kathy but i have raised and shown chickens for 30+ years,What i like the most about them is that you don't have to breed for true color it's very liberating .
You don't have to worry about to dark or to light or the wrong tail color, I just love them.

Well, tomorrow is lock down day for the first set, hoping for pipping to start sunday, humidity in the hatcher is 65% so will pull the plug today to get it down around 55%, if possible, humidity in the other has been running in the low 40s . We shall see what will be, have high hopes for them, of the 45 only 3 showed hairline cracks, one of them the shell is too thick for the candler, the other two dont smell bad but dont see any veining, so they get the extra chance, if they smelled at all they'd be long gone.

Tis an interesting time, going to the feed store today to pick up some kind of screen for over the brooders, just to keep the hound out of them, kind of a fun time right now, anticipation, some nervousness, and the waiting, I am just hoping to get 12-15 chicks out of the 45 eggs, anything more and I will be giddy,
