A little rockin in two of the three pippin, none others yet,

stifling the 'urge to help' devil',

Putting another pot on, gonna be a long night

and almost five hours to go til night.

OK....I know that I should soooo not be proud or excited by this but who could not love these?

Remember my true confession of the accidental broody who was hiding a nest in the neighbors barn. The LF BLRW broody who could only have been fertilized by *gulp* Jokull, the free range Icelandic?
Well, mama brought the brood home today!!!

As you can see, we have 4 distinct color patterns... 2 Chipmunk. 5 yellow with black splashes. 6 black and 2 blue. For a grand total of 15!!!!

So after this moment, they will be referred to as nothing more than mixed breed chickens.
But for the interest of the Icelandic crew I am sharing thier parentage info.

Love fuzzy butts no matter who the chickie daddy is.

Some news here,

We have a BEAK !!!! There is BEAK !!! Almost certainly the best one ever !!

The earliest rock and roller ! So I am hoping the next rocker is on time in an hour or so, no change on the 3rd pipper, and nothing happening on the other 13

Yet,

but I am rooting them on

Huston we have CHICK !!!

Egg broke in half and empty, found the occupant in the opposite corner!

Looks brown with black streaks head to tail, I dont have a clue as to what the pattern will be but it is obviously the most beautiful chick ever, wet and slimey notwithstanding, and quite active

, I am guessing probably chipmunk when its dried off,

One other pipped in several places, and one no change, and saw another rollin a bit but no pippin yet.

This first one is one of the medium eggs, it is just 20 days to the hour that I set these eggs in the incubator,

stay tuned, more updates coming. A long night coming , wouldnt miss it, best show this year, just ahead of Avatar.

I'm feeling like Mork , telling these little guys to come out and fly
