Icelandic Chickens

Thanks Michelle and everyone! J.D. seems to be doing better this morning. I left him in the enclosure so he doesn't use his leg too much. He is still limping but getting around.

Regarding the hatch for Shawn, we have early pippers.

I didn't expect them until late tonight or tomorrow! Just in case, I called the post office and got shipping appointments for tomorrow and Wednesday just in case the majority hatch early. I think I'll still be fine to ship on Wednesday even if some hatch out late today. Nobody is zipping yet!

I checked the zip code and Idaho Falls is 2 days for Express Mail but maybe we'll be lucky and they will get there in one day.

Mary I have heard about somee people shipping with one of those gel water/food thingings. You mix up the gel and put it in the box with em while they are being shipped, that way if they are delayed they have something.

Yep, Gro-Gel. Costs $3.99, not available locally, overnight shipping $68.00! I wonder if I could make the same thing by mixing the Chick Saver that I do have with non flavored gelatin? Hmmm........Probably should not mess with things and ship as normal.
