C'mon babies, show up in Idaho!

Tracking still shows the babies left Sacramento yesterday.

Skye had her baby out in the yard most of the day. Probably too hot in the coop. It finally broke 80 today! She was dealing out some pretty harsh punishment if the baby strayed too far, this time flipped it right over on it's back. She is being a very attentive Mom though.

hahahaha, that picture is so cute! Silly kid!

Icelandic news here ..........
*Yes, Kola is broody for sure. She growled at me like crazy today, and has stayed on the nest. Tomorrow I am moving her into the garage in the Nella brooder.
*Hatch due tomorrow 10PM has 16 Icelandic eggs, and I have 3 pips now.
*Romeo found some new girlfriends today. Brita was hiding from him, on top of the Orp coop. Tomorrow the boys are being penned, and the girls will have a break from the crazy guys.

Lost one of my Easter Hatch pullets today...I'm guessing it was the heat or she was attacked by one of the bigger chickens.

She looked like a female version of Vindur. poofy lacy crest, feathers on shanks. oh well, I'll be able to incubate my own come fall.

Wish they'd all just grow up already.
