have time to get caught up soon.

I have an order for Icelandics to go out to Dillingham. He wants 6 hens and a roo. the roo is easy, but I keep changing my mind on which of the hens I can stand to part with

This year we are averaging a coon or opposum a day in the live trap_____where do they all come from?

* Yup got and given so many hens away, no lack here.... only that difficulty in getting attached gets in my way of letting go of more. Of course now most are younger, but springs hens are all over Texas!

*Thanks for the welcome back folks!

Michelle, this was so me when I helped two families get some Icelandics. It was so hard to choose which would go. I keep telling myself that last year I only had two of each gender and now I have so many more (total now for Icelandics is 6 boys, 15 girls and 3 unsexed chicks=24) but it's still hard. I think it will be easier next year because favorites will be found and I will need to keep the numbers near where they are now.....at least that is what I'm hoping!

I have a hard time letting go of my Icelandics, too. I so wish I had back a couple of unique looking ones that I gave away. Oh, but I can not keep them all! If only I could!

I am keeping about 15 females and 3 or 4 males, for the winter. I think that is enough for now.

OK, Kelly, You're on... time to sex "The Crash Test Dummies"

I think I have 3 girls, a boy and a very tattered looking little soul.

These two girls look so muuch alike I have to look twice to tell them apart.

And I really don't need another boy but this guy has some great colors.

And here is my ratty tatty little one. I worry about him out in the cold, but he/she is by far the fiestiest for now. Hopefully that thoughness will get him/her through.

LOVE your photos, Michelle. You have a nice camera and are a photographer? Very nice!
I love the crested ones!

Ya know what........ My little Bitsy (the one with the feather problem issue) is now almost the same size as his hatch mates, AND his feathers all look normal now. Is that what all of you have experienced, too? Does this, "go away?"
