Wow Mary !!! Whats not to love!!
I am tickled that at least one is a cockeral!!
He can crow all that he wants to, I am an early riser! So will probably wake him when I turn the lights on!
All three are intriguing as to what their colors are going to be. Especially the dark one ! What a little beauty !!
And they are for sure featherlegged !! I just might give him 3-4 pullets out of this springs hatch.
I have their brooder set up, a big lab sized heavy wire cage. Its about 30" high, almost 40" long and 27" wide, it should hold 3 youngsters alright til warm weather gets here. They will have a lot of time to get very socialized, with me and the Purrkids.
For the record, if you get anymore I am for sure interested ! A dozen of them to raise this year would be just fine with me. It will be interesting to see how the white ones color up. So far all my white chicks have become splash or light wheaten, two with shadings of blue, like Lukkas'. I would love a 'Snow.'
20 here this morn. Got some blue sky but snow forcast for later.
I have heard of Kathy shipping mean birds around, dont tell her.
Thanks Mary, you made my day !
Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens and Pack Goats !
