Lots of fighting Icelandic roos these days! I have two little pip-squeaks about six inches tall that are duking it out every time I look out my window. They are up in each others faces, hackles flared, doing the stare-down then jumping at each other. It is ridiculous.
My cream legbars are venturing out more this afternoon. The big mean girls have let up a bit on the show of force. This afternoon they were going to the waterer in tight formation. It looked like one big messed up chicken.
I have a pip in the incubator tonight. I have ten eggs scheduled to hatch Monday. These are some of the ones that were in the
Brinsea Advance and the temp was too low. Between the two incubators, 24 eggs in each, a total of ten reached lockdown stage.
Kelly and I were counting on this sale to buy our turkeys!
We're splitting an order, I am getting five and she's getting the other ten! I know it is stupid, but I have this thing about paying for poultry out of poultry money. I guess I feel less guilty that way.
How about you Kathy?
Gosh I am mean tonight.
OK I am going down to the goat pen and see if anyone is in the dogloo. Where's the flashlight? Be back with a report.
