I have 19F right now, but, its supposed to warm up to 32 today, I hear 40, in april.

Welcome back CL, long weekend ! I am glad that you found the right home for your Ices ! Will miss you here so come visit !

I have a dozen Ices, am getting the Feathered Fabs next week, hoping for tuesday, brooder cage all set up here in the cabin with a place for those of the feline persuasion to keep them country, my older two kept all my others company from day one to once they were in the outside pen and then ranging. Only two of my pullets were from before the June 1rst hatch, and then they were all in the darker trailer until just 2-3 weeks ago, and now they have a light on so I do expect the laying to pick up.

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens !

My orange tree that's loaded with oranges got a reprieve. (phew)

Totalcolour......You can keep all your egg laying hens, as long as they don't lay white eggs. Congrats on getting some Icelandics!

Hmmm, not sure I should give Kathy my address..........it is too cold to ship birds, right? Not that I wouldn't totally love them, but I'm trying to focus on my breeding. (with the occasional turkey slip up

I'd be nervous shipping/receiving chicks right now but Mary is shipping me three 6 week old ones next week, I will be antsy from monday til they get here but hoping and praying for it to be a normal good shipping. For all of us. When they are here they will be spoiled rotten from the Turkey stater free choice to egg snacks in the eve! Plus all other table goodies ! I am really hoping she starts laying by the end of June, if so I will be adding her eggs to the incubator. And maybe some other eggs from one of my hens with one of the feathered legged cocks. It could be a very interesting season !
