I will have to fix the pics in a minute, my daughter is demanding my undivided attention.

I candled my mutt eggs from Laree. I think it is a roo based on these feet. They were taken with my cell phone. In real life I swear I saw the toe nails.

That's a cool picture!

When I was pregnant with my first son, he stretched and pushed his foot out and you could see the ball of his foot and all the toes through my skin.

Another Icelandic hatched, this one is a silver one with shank feathering. All 3 have rose combs.

You won't believe what Kelly did tonight. She declared one of her Icelandics to be a male, while it was still in the incubator!

Michael says he is waiting for her to determine gender while one is still in the egg.

I now have 8 out (4 Icelandics, 2 Isbars, my mutt, a wellie) and another Icelandic is fully zipped and trying to push out now. 4 eggs remaining - none with pips. (today is hatch day, so there's still time)

Nope, he tundra would be having a fine day at -17, this is just about a 100 miles north of Anchorage, tundra villages are enjoying -35 right now and some days it gets cold.

Mary enjoy seeing your emu chicks enjoying the finer things in life !

I am slowly getting ready for the great move, unfortunately it is pushed off a bit, I am told the breakup doesnt happen til late april so now planning on leaving here then and letting the 4 stops soak up some time, I dont want to have to put on chains for the last 300 miles.

All systems go with the hends here most day gettins 100% laying. The fab feathered 3
are enjoying eggs to, I scramble up eggs for them and the purrkids.

Winter is still here, enjoying the last of a Jan thaw with days in the high 20s, tomorrow it drops down into the single digits again, I do worry about Isi out in that. I need to rehome him also. So, two excellent roosters here needing an appreciative home, yours for the shipping.

Life is good and better with Icelandics !
