Thanks for the welcome. I'll try to post pictures as often as I can. I use my phone mostly for internet and haven't figured out how to post pictures with it.

Wow, Jim's a lucky guy! He's getting some gorgeous birds! I'm shocked you are able to give them up Mary!
Let's just say there are tears involved....I think last year when the others left I related that I liken it to your kids going away to college.........you know it's a good thing but it's still a sad thing!
I got the Icelandics to help preserve them.......making sure they are deseminated, so that if anything happens to some flocks others are available, is part of that....not as fun a part as hatching and watching them become their gorgeous selves but still a part.
Eggs are easier...........you're not attached to them!![]()
Quote:Ahh Mary. That's pretty smart though. At least we can be sure there will be a core of people whose flocks are pure and we can replace from. Like if my Stella unlocks the gate and convinces everyone else to join her on a gypsy trip.![]()

Thanks for caring everyone!I'm back from my road trip and Iowa now has 6 new residents! Jim is just as nice in person and that makes it easier to let them go. Now onto the future..............
Joy, How brave are you with opening eggs? Did all your Dorkings hatch?
