Oops Kathy! I guess I should have mentioned I took those pics with my Canon Mark III 1D. You can still get one on Amazon for $7999.00.

Yikes, I need to have this thing cleaned. It still has ATV racing dust all over.

Deb - I have 2 with feathered shanks. One has very heavy, cochin-like feathering. The other one has more light, Marans-like shank feathering.

Mary - love that fruit picture! So pretty!

Thanks Kelly. I bought a bunch of different fruits for still shots. Gotta have a fruit salad and make a pie or I am gonna' have wasted a lot of money!

Kathy, do they have any hands-on classes near you? I took college photography classes before I stared nursing school in in 1980. Wow, no wonder I don't remember much! The classes culminated with a photo contest and I won Best of Show with this photo. We had to do our own developing too. No digital in those days!I finally had it professionally matted and framed three years ago and it has hung in my house ever since. They mounted the award, which I still had, onto the back for me. Sorry about the glare.

I would love to take a camera class to learn more about my Mark III. With the big telephoto lens it takes awesome action shots. I could probably get some good ones of the emus in motion. That camera/lens combination is so fast, when the pro riders would go by and rooster tail me with dirt you could see the individual pieces of dirt in the picture. I sure can't return to that type of photography now. I climbed up the back side of steep jumps to get close to the action and walked miles in a two hour race. Less than three years ago. Hard to believe I am riding a scooter now and have a cane and walker close by.
