My 6 Icelandics are just 5 weeks old, and I am already pretty sure I have 3 pullets and 3 cockerels. One of them is huge, about twice the size of all the others (and all boy!). Two others have combs that are significantly bigger and already a bit pinker than the 3 girls. These two have the most adorable crests.... I so wanted a girl with a crest!

Someone alluded to color being an early indicator of sex? What's the scoop on that?
