Hi all,
I read a lot and look at lots of photos; some conditions are easy to see there, but if it's at beginning stages, not so easy, or maybe I'm imagining things.
Bit of background...rained and then froze, then subzero for 10 days then rained for a week and then coudy for days. I didn't want to have the hen house open a lot...preserve the warmth...but cleaned the poo out every morning, and it was dry inside. The run is open to the elements, so everything was pretty wet but no standing water. I cleaned and put out some dry pine for walking areas when the rain let up. Water got through the outdoor dust bath cover, so that was out of use for 10 days, though they do dust bathe in the smaller covered run. Anyway, one of my girls had a loose foot scale which came off, some feet don't seem super smooth, and I started to wonder what early SLM look like. I'm posting some pics both on and off the roost, as the roosts are a bit narrow and require more flexing of the scales. Thoughts? Signs of SLM?
