Anybody with any baby chicks or hatching available around Idaho Falls? I am looking for some new babies. I am down for the week-end.

Not this week but next week on the 22, 23, 24 I will have around 40 that should be hatching. All will be americanas that are not related and are hatched from blue eggs. Cant wait.

Hello Idaho! I'm in Boise! We're pretty much right smack dab in the middle of Boise too but I don't care about the 3 chicken rule. There are ways around it. Besides none of my neighbors care we've checked

Where do you guys get the best deals on pine shavings and diatomaceous earth?

If I remember correctly, Zamzow's had DE for $15 for a large bag or $10 for a small name brand box. Both were food grade. I'll check D&B and post too if you don't get there before me.

Hi from another Idahoan! Can DE be used with chickens and if so how? I know it is supposed to be safe to use around pets as a pesticide but that is about all I know.

You use DE in their bedding to keep pests out. It's supposedly safe I really don't know much about it yet. Idk

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Would anyone in the Treasure Valley be up for helping me move a smallish coop and run to my house. It's out at Kuna-Mora Rd and I live off Fairview and Curtis. I was going to get my brother to help but he wussed out. I can either rent a truck or pay for gas. My 4Runner gets such bad mileage anymore that it'd be cheaper to just rent a truck. It's not that heavy. My brother and I were able to lift it up. My friends truck was too small with the camper shell on it and her husband didn't want to remove the shell.

Anyway, let me know if anyone would be up for helping out this week anytime. I'm pretty much open. I'll even buy yah lunch! a couple people would be great or even whoever would like to come. I don't have any family here, the 'brother' is really just a very close friend I"ve known for 8 years.
