Idaho?

Can't stop laughing. My neighbor wins the Doodah of the Year Award. Aparently someone enjoyed Teton Raptor Center's demonstration at the park on Monday waaaaay too much because they thought one of my chickens was a falcon and called Animal Control.

I can only hope it was an Easter Egger she saw because I suppose mine look sort of hawk-like. If they saw a SLW, bantam barred cochin, or one of my gawky teenage Australorps and mistook one of them for a Bird of Prey they have big problems. :p

That is hilarious. ~!

It's probably going to be tomorrow. I'm so sorry!!!! We've got one asthmatic out of the five kids, and he had a horrible night last night. I don't want to leave Daddy to have to tend to him today, because he's a bear. Most likely he'll just come along for the ride tomorrow (unless it flares up again tonight). THANK YOU!
Okey dokey

ok so I got a question my white hen that I have yet to figure out what she is I have noticed that she has white legs and I haven't seen any with white legs anyone know of white hens with white legs? also she is getting big..... bigger than my black sex link hens seems like she is not done growing.... I noticed her comb is getting taller too and spikey... and she is real friendly she doesn't really try to peck the other hens she will just run her chest into the RIR hens if she wants them to get away from her food. The Sex links run the house tho.. I was wondering do the different breeds have a eye color specific to their breed cause 2 of my black SL have a kind of hazel eye and one has a kind of pretty green eyes? Wow just noticed my having A question kinda went into many questions lol sorry

The 104 (so far) day was getting to my flock.

The chickens went dust bathing and the ducks went swimming. For hours.

I also got the coop ready for laying and some nesting boxes around the yard too. We're getting close! :)

Just caught my neighbor's cat in my back yard..... Ugh. Looks like I may have to see if I can talk hubby into letting me devote a larger hunk of the yard just to chickens, and build a big run. That'll be a tall order, though. The coop/run I have now is too small to leave them in all of the time, they're just under the coop to sleep (they don't go in, silly birds), and during the day when the sun is on that side of the yard. Once the shade hits, they are all over!

I have too many chickens and I seriously need to downsize, so if anyone is interested this little bunch is for sale. There is 2 Bantam Gold Laced Polish (1 pullet and 1 cockerel), 1 Black Copper Maran Roo, and 1 Wheaten Maran Roo. If your interested just let me know :)
